The UWE Money Advice Service is delivering this module over three workshops. You will be able to develop and improve your financial skills, knowledge and confidence, with a particular focus on the financial products most used by students: overdrafts, student loans and credit cards.
The module tackles topics such as budgeting, tax, saving, spending, credit-rating and debt. Learners will develop a practical understanding of the principles of budgeting: maximising income and minimising expenditure and what to do when things go pear-shaped.
This will help learners develop a practical understanding of spending choices and the impact of their choices on their future. To participate in the module, you must attend all three workshops. However, if you do not wish to take the module, you are still welcome to attend any of the workshops individually. If you are interested in attending, please email mafs@uwe.ac.uk.
