Halls Committee

Get involved and have a say in your HallsLife programme!

WHAT is the halls committee?

The HallsLife committee is made up of Halls Reps and the committee helps run and shape our HallsLife events programme.

What does it involve?

Being a Halls Rep is really what you make of it! Mostly it involves attending committee meetings (usually with tea/coffe and cake!) and giving us feedback, ideas, and suggestions of how to make HallsLife the best it can be!
Here is just a sample of all the things you can get involved in:
  • Providing and gathering feedback on events and activities
  • Helping us run event
  • Planning and running YOUR OWN events
  • Running HallsLife social media
  • Organising inter-hall sports competitions
  • Getting involved in campaigns including liberation, sustainability, and fundraising
  • And so much more!
You can do as much or as little as you like - from running a halls book club to teaching your friends how to cook! And we'll be there every step of the way to support you!

Am I eligible?

If you currently live in Halls on UWE campus (Frenchay and Glenside) you are eligible!

In order to qualify as a halls rep you must:

  • Currently registered as living in UWE Halls - if you're finished the semester from your home address or haven't returned to campus yet due to the lockdown you're still eligible!
  • Attend a minimum of 2 commitee meetings throughout the year
  • Provide feedback on the HallsLife programme at committee meetings

If you've done all 3 things then you'll be recognised as a Halls Rep - something that will go on your HEAR record and you can pop on your CV! You can do even more but these are the 3 basic requirements you need to complete!
