Chair - Carroll Court - HallsLife

**By standing for this position, you confirm that are you living in Carroll Court for the whole of the academic year 2018/19**

The Halls Committee Chair is the lead representative for their halls and the students who live there. They have a passion and flair for organisation and working closely with different people. The Chair is proactive in taking the lead to get things done, sets the direction for the Halls Committee and supports all of its members. 

 

The Chair oversees all of the halls activities within their residence, working closely with other Committee members and The Students’ Union. The Chair of each Halls Committee also works with the other Chairs on overall HallsLife activities, and as such, a key part of the Chair's role is building and maintaining relationships across all the Halls.

 

The Chair attends termly meetings with representatives from the SU and the other Chairs and organises regular Committee catch-ups to make sure everything is running smoothly and that all students are getting the most out of their time in halls.

The Events Officer is all about putting on immersive activities that create a real sense of community for all students living in halls. They have excellent organisational and people skills which they use to find out what it is that students want from their time at university.

 

The Events Officer is responsible for planning and managing halls specific events that bring students together and create amazing experiences for them. They work closely with, and are supported by, the other Events Officers and The Students’ Union to plan HallsLife wide events.

 

The Events Officer attends regular committee catch-ups to make sure that fun and inclusive events are being planned and that all students are getting the most out of their time in halls.

Campaigns Officer - Cotswold Court - HallsLife

**By standing for this position, you confirm that are you living in Cotswold Court for the whole of the academic year 2018/19**

The Campaigns Officer is enthusiastic about making change in the community and helping causes from sustainability to charity. They relish working alongside different people in order to achieve a greater goal.

 

The Campaigns Officer is responsible for leading on activities in halls around sustainability, welfare, charity, fundraising and wider Students’ Union campaigns, such as Black History Month, International Women’s Day etc.) as well as community outreach projects.

 

The Campaigns Officer works very closely with various people in The Students’ Union, including The Green Team and RAG, alongside the other Halls Committee members. They attend regular committee catch-ups to make sure campaign activities are on progressing well and that all students are getting the most out of their time in halls.

Sports Officer - Wallscourt Park - HallsLife

**By standing for this position, you confirm that are you living in Wallscourt Park for the whole of the academic year 2018/19**

The Sports Officer has a passion for all things sport. They enjoy planning and taking part in a diverse range of sports and social activities and encouraging everyone to participate in different sports.

 

The Sports Officer is responsible for promoting and engaging students in the inter-halls sports league, as well as organising social, recreational and competitive sport events within each halls.

 

The Sports Officer works closely with The Students’ Union, Centre for Sport and their fellow committee members. They attend regular committee catch-ups to make sure sports activities are best they can be and that all students are getting the most out of their time in halls.
