As debates surrounding decolonising the curriculum have raged in the media over the last couple of years, student interest in these campaigns across the Joint Faculties is extremely high. However, there is still uncertainty amongst many (staff and students) about what it means exactly, why, and when it is important, and how it can be achieved.
This panel event provided an opportunity for staff and students to better understand why this is so critical, but also offer a series of ideas and practical advice about how it can be addressed from academic professionals.
Speakers: Emmanuel Adukwu, Ann de Graft-Johnson, Xavier Baker, Saharla Isimail
Chair: Jane Ojiako (VP Education at The Students’ Union)
