As part of LGBT+ History Month, join members of the LGBT+ Staff Networks from UWE Bristol and the University of Bristol for a free, two-hour online art workshop for people of all creative abilities and experience.
We'll start with a quick ice breaker, a warm-up exercise, then spend two hours making artwork on the theme of 'My Personal LGBT+ History' and celebrating our own histories as LGBT+ people. We'll take breaks, discuss progress and finish with a quick show and tell.
Everyone is welcome to join and work in any type of medium is acceptable.
The theme is celebratory, looking to emphasize the positives of being LGBT+ and our personal journeys to this point. Participants will be invited to add work made during the session to our online exhibition, which will be launched on Friday 26 February.
The session will be facilitated by Simon Gamble, Head of Study Skills at the University of Bristol. Simon has a degree in fine art from Arts University Bournemouth and has taught arts workshops to adults and children since 2009.
Join the session on Microsoft Teams.
