Sudan is a country with diverse cultures, traditions, and tribal backgrounds. Women's rights are still, to this day, a matter of debate. In 2019, the government introduced a law against FGM, however, there are many women's rights issues yet to discuss in Sudan.
Bassmala Elbushary is part of an organisation called FORWARD, which aims to end violence against African women and girls. She will be sharing her experience, delivering a social project exploring issues that Sudanese women and men face, women's rights in Sudan and how to eliminate violence that girls and women experience in their life.
