Mentalk Health: Be Mindful
Tue 30 November 2021 09:30-11:30
The Students' Union, Glenside Campus
Join us in The Students' Union at Glenside for a relaxed, informal 'Be Mindful' workshop.
This will be a super-chilled drop-in session, where you'll be able to get to grips with mindfulness, pick up practical tips and learn coping strategies - or simply relax with free refreshments and friendly chats!
We'll have a range of breakfast rolls and pastries (including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options) available for you to enjoy during the event.
You'll also have the chance to meet advisers from UWE Wellbeing and The Students' Union's Advice Centre, as well as your Men’s Welfare Officer (Callum) and your Vice President Community & Welfare (Rania).
See you there!
- This event is inclusive of all men (trans or cis), trans masculine individuals, and men/masculine-aligned non-binary individuals. Our aim is to provide a safe and fun space for men and men/masculine-aligned individuals to meet, network and learn new skills.
- This workshop is part of The Students' Union at UWE's 'Mentalk Health' series. We know that men's welfare - both physical and mental - can be a difficult topic to interact with as a man. In the UK, over two in five men (43%) admitted to regularly feeling worried or low and in 2019, three-quarters of deaths registered as suicide in England and Wales were among men (4,303 deaths).
