Dog profiles
Name: Maisie
Breed: Labrador
Age: 11 months
Occupation: Guide dog fundraiser
Favourite thing: Playing with my friends
If maisie could speak she would say: Let’s go!
The funniest Maisie has done : She pinches any footwear that is left unattended on
the floor and then brings it to show you how naughty she has been!
Name: Jangle
Breed: Flat-coated Retriever
Age: 9
Occupation: Retired Guide Dog
Jangles favourite thing: Jangle loves running in the snow and laying on the lawn watching birds, cats and squirrels. A gentle girl!
If Jangle could speak she would say: Please can I have a cuddle? and Have you got any treats or carrots for me?
The funniest thing Jangle has done: Jangle used to walk her Guide Dog Owner through deep puddles and avoided them herself! Now she loves paddling in the stream but never in the sea!
Name: Courtney
Breed: 3/4 Golden Retriever, 1/4 lab.
Age:3 years
Occupation: Guide Dog
Favourite things: My cuddly toys, swimming and my friends (Hobbes and Kiki the cats, Oakley the dog and Murphy the horse)
If Courtney could speak she would it say: "Can I have another cuddle please mummy....and more food?"
What is the funniest thing Courtney has done: As I take mum to college, we had a meeting with our whole equine department, for an introduction from the Principle of the College. Well during this introduction, it went fairly quiet with just the principle speaking, and when he paused for breath, I decided to let out a huge sigh which stopped him in his tracks, and everybody in the room turned around and was laughing at me. I was blissfully unaware, but mum was holding her head in her hands...
Name:Della
Age: 8 Years
Job: Retired guide dog
Favourite thing: Her 'Kong' toy which she likes to chase!
Name: Yago
Breed: German Shepherd.
Age: 11 months.
Occupation: Guide dog puppy in training. Favourite thing: Smoky Bone.
If Yago could speak : "When I am not learning to be a guide dog, I love to have free runs with my other guide dog puppy in training friends."
What is the funniest thing your dog has done: Sung loudly to a bus full of passengers to let them all know he was getting off!
Name: Laura Age: 12 months Dog's most favourite thing: The cat, which incidentally rules the house and despises the dog If Laura could talk she would alternate between saying: 'My favourite thing!' if it appears edible, and saying: 'my MOST favourite thing!' to anything that has legs - other animals or people of any size and smell Funny story: At ca. 6 months Laura came to greet me enthusiastically with a blueish tongue. After my initial shock I decided she looked too lively to be suffering from lack of oxygen. On further investigation, I found that the whole inside of her mouth and her teeth had a lovely blue-green colour like the ocean off the coast of Zanzibar. Turns out she had been rummaging through the waste paper basket and found snippets of turquoise tissue paper left after a gift wrapping session. Needless to say her mouth wasn't the only thing that turned out to be this lovely colour the next day - what goes in has to come out...
Don't forget as part of Feel Good February you can collect a stamp for attending this event. Just turn up and a member of staff will stamp your loyalty card for you.
