Fri 25 November 2016 19:00-22:00
Queen Square
Starting in Queen Square, this will be a march through Bristol against gender-based street harassment, sexual violence and gender inequality.
Afterwards, in Bristol SU's Anson Rooms, there will be an evening of poetry, comedy, speeches and music from a range of self-identifying women and non-binary genders.
There’s also going to be a range of stalls and activities – with an opportunity to build on previous years’ research around safety in the city.
We welcome the participation and support from individuals of all genders. However, we ask that the front rows of the march are reserved for women, non-binary and marginalised genders.
A safe space will be provided within this reserved space, marked off by stewards. We hope this will give groups who have often been taught to fear the ‘night’ an opportunity to reclaim it.
Therefore, if you would prefer to walk as part of a mixed group, we simply ask you move behind the first few rows.
