Community Garden Volunteering

Community Garden Volunteering

Date and TimeWed 27 September 2017 13:00-15:00

LocationMeet at The Students' Union at Frenchay - Building 1 main reception (we will walk down together)

The Community Garden provides a regular opportunity for both experienced and new gardeners to get involved in their green campus and grow their own fruit and vegetables for free. By producing our own fruit and veg we are minimising our environmental impact and reducing food miles (and eating really tasty food, of course). The garden is situated in a beautiful and quiet corner of the campus (next to W Block), allowing you to take a well-needed break from the fast-paced environment that can accompany student life. If you choose to walk straight to the garden without meeting the main group at The Students' Union at Frenchay Union 1 reception, please speak to a member of the UWE Grounds team (usually wearing high-vis clothing) and they can direct you on how to get started.

In this session, we will be getting to grips with some more basic gardening techniques and harvesting some tasty veg!

Come along and get stuck in!
