Community Garden Volunteering Session
Wed 27 June 2018 12:00-15:00
UWE Community Garden, Frenchay
The academic year might be over, but we're still running the Community Garden Sessions at Frenchay Campus. They are open to all students and staff. Come anytime between 12 and 3 pm and UWE Grounds Team staff will be there on site to assist you with tasks and questions.
The Community Garden provides a regular opportunity for both experienced and new gardeners to get involved in their green campus and grow their own fruit and vegetables for free. By producing our own fruit and veg we are minimising our environmental impact and reducing food miles (and eating really tasty food, of course). The garden is situated in a beautiful and quiet corner of the campus (next to W Block), allowing you to take a well-needed break from the fast-paced environment that can accompany student life. To attend the session, please walk down directly to the community garden (Map found here) and let one of the UWE Grounds Team know you are there. Members of the UWE Grounds Team will be most likely wearing a high-vis vest. SU staff will not be present at the session, but the UWE Grounds team have all the know-how to show you all the garden skills you need.
