The Colour Run is a fun event that anyone can get involved with, no matter who you are or how much you can run. Run, walk or jog your way around campus while getting covered in powder paint.
Just bring a white t-shirt, and we’ll bring the paint!
Meet outside The Students' Union at Frenchay Campus at 16:00.
1. I understand that participating in the Colour Run is a potentially hazardous activity where I will be required to run a set distance and powdered color will be thrown at and around me during the course of the event. I also understand that some of the course may go through water, coloured corn starch or mud, which has not been tested for chemicals or disease. As it is a physically demanding activity, I understand there is a risk of injury and even death and that the Colour Run does not conduct health or fitness checks on entrants. 2. Whilst The Colour Run takes care to make the event as safe as possible, they cannot remove risks and dangers to participants and observers and accordingly I participate at my own risk. 3. I agree not to participate unless I am medically and physically able, and that it is my responsibility to decide whether I am, and any child for whom I am responsible, is medically and physically able. 4. I assume all risks associated with competing in The Colour Run, including, but not limited to: o slips, falls, contact with other participants, o negligent or wanton acts of other participants, o any defects or condition of premises, or color zones, o the effects of the weather including high heat, cold temperatures, storms and/or humidity. 5. I agree that The Students Union at UWE, UWE Bristol, Bristol SU and The University of Bristol are not responsible for any personal items or property that are lost, stolen, stained or damaged at or during the event. 6. I consent to emergency medical care and transportation in order to obtain treatment in the event of injury to me as medical professionals may deem appropriate. 7. I understand and agree that pets are not permitted to accompany me in the race. 8. I grant permission for the Students’ Union at UWE and its partners to use any photographs, motion pictures, video and/ or sound recordings or any other record of this event which include any images of me (and/or of any child on whose behalf I sign) for any purpose including, but not limited to, promoting, advertising and marketing purposes at any time after the event. 9. I assume risk of wild animals and insects that may be present on the course. 10. I understand that Colour Powder is rated as Non Toxic/ Non Hazardous. No respiratory or eye protection required, but protection would be recommended for prolonged exposure. Flush with water to remove powder from eyes, mouth or nose; mild soap and water recommended for cleaning on skin. 11. I understand I must declare any medical condition especially those concerning, but not excluding: respiratory conditions, allergies and heart conditions. 12. I understand during the Colour Run I must not smoke or be in possession of any ignitable or ignited substances. 13. I understand that any participants under the age of 18, must have prior to the event, obtained parental consent which has been returned to The Students' Union at UWE or Bristol SU. I also understand that no one under the age of 18 will be able to take part in the Colour Run without this parental consent, and must be supervised at all time by this parent throughout the event. 14. I undersand that it is my responsibiliy to ensure i do not damage Univeristy Property following the colour run.
