Meet at SU1 reception, The Students' Union at Frenchay Campus
The Community Garden provides a regular opportunity for both experienced and new gardeners to get involved in their green campus and grow their own fruit and vegetables for free. By producing our own fruit and veg we are minimising our environmental impact and reducing food miles (and eating really tasty food, of course). The garden is situated in a beautiful and quiet corner of the campus, allowing you to take a well-needed break from the fast-paced, noisy, environment that can accompany student life.
Dig into to our free taster afternoon! During the session we will be planting a selection of winter vegetables (including brassicas and onions!), as well as clearing some beds to make room for some lovely new plants!
Please meet us at The Students' Union Building 1 main reception at midday, where we will guide you down to the gardening session.
Please note that due to campus building works there is restricted disabled access to the community garden. If you have special access needs and want to visit the garden, please send our staff an email (thegreenteam@uwe.ac.uk) to let us know in advance.
