In honour of Black History Month and National Poetry Day the Student's Union at UWE and UWE Library present Poets in the City featuring the best poetic talent in Bristol. We are delighted to welcome:

 

Miles Chambers the Bristol City Poet from 2016-2018

Lawrence Hoo- Resident at Pervasive Media Studios

Akula, Antonette & Pearl from Breathing Fire ( Black Women's Theatre Company)

//Kabbo Ferdinand and Shaun Clarke from the Urban Word Collective

Liz Mytton- playwright & poet

 

UWE Students will also be performing their own poems in response to the theme of Home.

There will be free food and half price drinks from the SU Bar.
