Our instructor Claire teaches Tai Chi and Qi Gong and helps you to find balance in body and mind. Claire says: "I have practised Tai Chi for 15 years. I am a qualified Tai Chi and Qi Gong instructor, teaching exercises from the Taijiwuxigong system as well as the Taiji 37 form. Gentle physical exercise that calms the mind is a great way to take a break from your studies. Tai Chi and Qi Gong stretches and opens the body, improves posture, and gives the body’s energy system a boost. It can help to combat sedentary lifestyles and promotes overall physical and mental well-being." Exercises include a range of standing, sitting and lying down Tai Chi, which is designed to work on different areas of the body, improve overall posture, activate the body's energy system, and calm the mind. We will finish each week with breathing and meditation exercises. Remember to dress comfortably and wear flat (soft-soled) shoes or socks! These sessions are suitable for beginners and intermediates.
