Do you want a more sustainable commute to uni but don’t know how? Or need a little exercise in the morning to get you going? Then join us for Cycling for Sustainability, where we’ll show you a nice, easy and safe cycling route from UWE to the city centre and back. Going slow, this will take us around 1.5 hours with a few stops on the way. It’s suitable for everyone, even if you’re a beginner and is mostly flat. The route is all traffic-free with the exception of a short section in St. Werburghs which involves a few hundred metres on the road. It’s best to bring your own bike and helmet though we do have a limited number of bikes/helmets you can borrow on the day.
We’ll start our tour outside the SU shop in U block just after 12pm and will return there. You can then join us for a refuel at the SU’s upper engagement space where we’ll be chatting and making some healthy drinks on our smoothie bike. All for free. If the weather is bad we’ll go for a shorter ride and spend more time making smoothies inside.
