Welcome is a programme of events that showcases all that life at UWE Bristol has to offer. It is jam-packed with opportunities to meet new people and make new friends. Our events and activities are for everyone: whether you are fresh out of school, coming to us as a mature student, or returning as a second or third year.

Saturday 16 – Sunday 17 September 2017

There’s plenty to keep you entertained over the weekend ready for Welcome Week. The Students’ Union and the University will be hosting a week of informative events, fun filled activities and entrainment. Welcome Party is held on the Saturday and a Lock & Key Party, hosted by HallsLife on the Sunday.


Monday 18 – 23 September 2017

A host of day and evening events to welcome you to UWE Bristol including:

With free food, music and plenty of stalls from City Campus based societies to creative companies, this is your chance to join in and see what's available to you


The Students’ Union at Glenside, Wednesday 20 September 2017

Showcasing the very best of what the campus has to offer with stalls from a range of academic societies,  UWE services, The Students' Union and student-friendly local businesses. We'll also have live music, games and sweet treats!

The Students’ Union are the organisers of the Freshers' Fair, showcasing everything that The Students' Union, UWE and Bristol have to offer. All students are welcome, as we have something for everyone - not to be missed.

Over 180 of our student activities to get involved with; Sports clubs, Societies, Community societies, Charities and volunteer groups. With over 200 stalls there is plenty of things to do, people to meet and sweets to eat. Plus lots of freebies and giveaways from over 100 student friendly businesses.


Frenchay Campus, Saturday 30 September 2017

We'll be taking over the Wallscourt Lawn with a stage, two bars, fairground rides, flags and festival fun. With huge acts, this is the only way to round up Freshers' in style.
