No, that's not an order! Move is the fitness programme delivered by UWE Bristol and The Students' Union, aimed at getting everyone moving in a way and time that suits them, without breaking the bank! For just £40 a year, the programme involves over 40 activities, from Aerial Hoop to Squash, Netball to Jumpfit, there is something for everyone. A range of weekly dro pin classes, leagues and six week courses are available. Find out more here.
We go head to head in a friendly competition with the University of Bristol each year for a series of sporting antics. From American Football and Water Polo, to a Colour Run and Total Wipeout course, there are loads of opportunities to get involved with Varsity, no matter what your fitness level! Based on Frenchay Campus, the Centre for Sport has two state of the art gym suites as well as a whole host of classes to suit whatever exercises you enjoy. If you want to try a sport but don't have a lot of experience playing it, their Social Sport programme has coached courses, drop in sessions and leagues so you can progress at your own pace. For only £60 a year, you can get a bike kitted out with lights, a lock and full maintenance for the whole year. Not only does cycling get you outsoord in the fresh air, it can also help you to unwind and de-stress.
