Date Passed: 1st April
Speaker: William Anderson
1. Recently the Students' Union has been petitioned to change policy.
2. There is currently no clear guidance on how to do this on the Student's Union Website.
1. In accordance with two of the Students' Union's values (to be "Student Led" and "Open to Change") the Students' union should be encouraging students to make change within and outside the union.
2. Petitions are a way of showing support for change within the Union.
1. To introduce a make a change section on the website with clear guidance on how to petition and lobby the Union to make change as an individual student.
2. To strengthen “Campaign Culture” within the Union and make it easier for students to effect change.
3. A member of the exec team to work with the media office to achieve this.
