UWE Bristol Inclusivity Team are launching a #SpeakUp campaign to tackle sexual harassment and they want you to get involved!
They will be working with students to create a short video animation showing positive social norms around sexual harassment and consent and are looking for more students to get involved in the project. There will be three workshops run by an animation company, working with students, staff and partners to gain an input and hold focus groups in order to shape the campaign.
Wednesday 18 April, 9:00 – 10:30, Frenchay Campus
The first workshop will be looking at the objectives of the campaign and how to achieve them, gathering feedback from students and stakeholders.
Wednesday 9 May, 09:30 – 11:00, Frenchay Campus
The second workshop will discuss the look, feel, tone of voice and running time of the campaign and how to troubleshoot any problem areas.
You will be working on the storyboard and script for the campaign video.
Monday 11 June, 14:00 – 15:00, Frenchay Campus
The final workshop will see a rough cut of the animation and voice-over, gathering feedback before the campaign launch.
If you would like to participate and attend the workshops, please contact Ana Miguel on ana.miguellazaro@uwe.ac.uk
UWE Bristol and The Students’ Union are also launching a new Report and Support website where students and staff will be able to easily and safely report harassment and bullying. As part of the consultation process, we need your opinion on how this will work – fill out our quick survey and have your say on what you would like from the website before 20 April here: https://uwe.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/student-consultation
Help us evaluate the new Bystander training, looking at how we can support students to become pro-active bystanders in situations of harrassment, sexual abuse, or relationship abuse.
UWE Bristol are giving out Amazon vouchers to all those who come and give feedback. Come along to Room 4E06 on Frenchay Campus between 14:00 - 16:00 on 4 July.
