The BUCS Nationals brings together over 6000 students from across the country in 8 different sporting events including, Indoor Athletics, Judo, Karate and Long Course Swimming.
Some key results for Team UWE Bristol included:
Alexandra Williams, Women’s Senior Kumite 68kg - Silver Medal
Carys Jones, Women’s Pole Vault - Bronze Medal
Jessica Wong, Women’s Senior Kata - Bronze Medal
Oliver Nash, Men’s Kyu 73kg - Quarter Finalist
Jade Marsella, Vice President of Sports and Health at The Students’ Union at UWE, commented “I am so proud of everyone who represented UWE Bristol at the BUCS Nationals and contributed to this result. Sporting competitions like the BUCS Nationals are key in helping athletes at UWE Bristol gain valuable experience in a competitive environment and with Varsity just around the corner, are a great chance to get some vital practise in.”
