Your VP Education, Ayrden Pocock, talks you through your options with Personal Circumstances during your studies.
Has something happened that has affected your exams or assessments? If so you may be able to use the Personal Circumstances Procedure which if accepted will give you an uncapped resit. If you can’t do the assessment you should follow the Missed Assessment Process If you attempt an assessment and realise afterwards that you should not have done so, you may be able to use theExceptional Removal of a Mark Process For both of these you will need to fill out a form and provide evidence e.g. from a doctor. If you need more time for course work you may be eligible for a Five Working Day Extension Again, you will need to fill out a form and provide evidence. Also don’t forget the 24 hour window. This means you can hand in work up to 24hrs late but your mark will be capped. There is also Self-certification. This allows you to miss one assessment per year (or more if they are on the same day) and be able to resit uncapped. You still need to complete a form but you do not need any evidence.
