Bristol Bites by Bike is a brand new food festival on the run, the first of its kind to UWE, an innovative cycling event which celebrates the local landscape and food and drink produced on its doorstep.
We've teamed up with Unicycle to put on this amazing new event all because we want to share our love to ride with as many people as we can. The idea is simple, participants follow an interactive map, stopping at cafes, shops and restaurants to sample a variety of locally produced appetisers. By the time they reach the finish, cyclists will have enjoyed over a dozen different bitesize tasters and be full to the brim with the satisfaction that they've already burnt it all off!
The Bristol Bites trail is led by a local foodie turn cycling enthusiast; the ride takes place in Bristol, starting at UWE Frenchay Campus and finishing at the Swoon Gelato on College Green on Wednesday 21st March 2018. There is no need to own a bike or know what you're doing with one - we'll provide the bicycle hire for free, give you a cycling 101 before we get going and will ride with you the whole way! The route is predominantley on traffic free cycle paths so no need to be fearful!
The route is approximately 15km, and there will be a minimum of 14 food or drink tasters to sample along the way; more improtantly, this event is FREE thanks to the total legends at UniCycle UK What better way to spend a Wednesday Afternoon than stuffing your face with the Westcountries finest grub!
