Julian House Colour Run - 27/09/15
20 brilliant volunteers got involved with our first Action Day of the year! The Colour Run Action Day involved throwing powder paint at hundreds of fun-runners, raising thousands of pounds for Julian House, a local charity tackling the causes of homelessness.

Winterbourne Barn Festival - 04/10/15
Our second Action Day involved helping with stalls and games at Winterbourne Medieval Barn's annual festival!

Windmill Hill City Farm - 07/10/15
Our team of volunteers helped set the foundations for a new community garden at Windmill Hill City Farm, and also had loads of fun feeding the animals!

Milestones Trust - 10/10/15
A great day spent helping a Milestones Trust service user, who has learning disabilities, move some raised garden beds to a new home.

The Community Farm - 17/10/15
More than 20 students came along to help tend to The Community Farm in Chew Magna. Check out this video of the day's activities!

Avon Valley Railway - 21/10/15
Our Action Day volunteers spent the afternoon helping spruce up train carriages along the Avon Valley Railway's historic line, and get them ready for Halloween with some spooky decorations!

National Autistic Society - 24/10/15
For the National Autistic Society Action Day, we visited one of the charity's residential homes in Bristol, and a great time painting some of the rooms a lovely new colour!

It's in the Bag - 06/11/15
Our volunteers had a fantastic evening watching the Downend Round Table Fireworks, whilst raising money for testicular cancer awareness charity It's in the Bag. You can watch a video of the incredible display here!

Surfers Against Sewage - 07/11/15
A brilliant group of UWE students spent the morning clearing up the banks of the Avon Gorge, just beneath the beautiful Clifton Suspension Bridge, as part of Surfers Against Sewage's Autumn Beach Clean series.

Groundwork South - 18/11/15
This Action Day involved visiting local environmental charity Groundwork South at their base in Lockleaze Youth & Play Space, just down the road from Frenchay Campus, and helping with a project designed to improve road safety in developing nations, by ensuring that child car seats being sent out were in good working order.

Brunelcare - 25/11/15
Our first Christmas Action Day of 2015! We visited one of Brunelcare's nearby elderly care homes, and helped put up festive decorations, decorate Christmas trees, and make delicious mince pies, as well as socialising with all the lovely residents!

UWE Charity Xmas Fair - 02/12/15
At UWE's annual Charity Christmas Fair, organised by Accommodation Services, our volunteers assisted with a cake stall and a tombola stall, as well as helping Santa himself, all whilst raising money for Cancer Research UK!

Saltford Santa Dash - 06/12/15
Our wonderful volunteers had a fantastic time collecting money and cheering on hundreds of fun-runners at the annual Saltford Santa Dash, an event that raised thousands of pounds for two local charities: Time2Share and Bath & NES Carers' Centre!
