BME Network

Welcome to the Student BME Network, led by the BME Officer and created by 2017/18 SU President.

We define BME as students of African, Asian, Arab and Caribbean descent.

This is a platform to enhance the representation and experience of students who self-define as Black & Minority Ethnic (BME), providing a space for ideas to be debated and for social gatherings to take place for the wider BME community of UWE Bristol.

As well as gatherings, this Network will also undertake exciting new and existing projects such as Black History Month/Global Majority Campaign; #IAMBRISTOL – A City United Against Islamophobia; Prevent – Students not Suspects; ‘Why is my Curriculum White?’ plus many more.
