Are you a business-orientated student looking to forward your career and develop your CV? Are you interested in broadening your network and meeting like-minded students?
Here at the business society we host a range of influential guest speakers, from returning placement students, to entrepreneurs and local business owners. We also plan to hold a number of workshops and master classes, to allow members to boost their skills and bolster their CV’s.
As we all know, socials are a big part of any society, and this year we’re planning to go all out, with nights out to places such as Motion, The Love Inn and Lola Lo’s - in addition to some quieter, less crazy get-togethers. These will hopefully give all members a chance to get to know one another and to let off some steam.
The business society is only in its second year and, as a fairly new society, we’re always looking for ways to develop and progress, and to make the society as beneficial as possible to its members. As such, we’re always open to suggestions as to what you would like the society to offer - so please, don’t hesitate to contact one of the team using the details below.
Who can join?
Anyone! You don’t have to study a business-related course to join, we accept students and alumni from all disciplines. As long as you have an interest in business, marketing and motivation to improve your skills, you’ll benefit greatly from this society.
Not only will being an active member of this society look great on your CV, but you’ll have opportunities to network and ample opportunities to meet professional business leaders and make connections (that could even lead to placements or graduate roles). We offer a wide range of master classes and workshops to improve your employability, and to give students studying business related courses appropriate knowledge that can be applied to their studies.
