UWE Drama Company proudly gives opportunities to both experienced and first time performers in and around Bristol.

We meet once a week for a workshop at Bower Ashton Campus. The workshops are for everybody, whether you just want some fun, improve your skills or just going some experience; directors, technicians, actors, writers all welcome.

Both inside and outside of the university, the society offers a variety of performance opportunities throughout the year: in 2015/16 alone, already 10 shows are planned, with more to be announced: The September Showcase, Armistice in the Basement, Tea Powered Theatre with Armistice, The Christmas Panto, The One Act Festival, The First and Second Semester Plays, Creative Writing Showcase, Vagina Monologues and The Edinburgh Fringe, with other origional plays throughout the year. If you want to be involved in a show, we will make sure that you are.

As well as nights out, trips to local theatre, and the central weekly workshops, arguably the biggest event of the year is our annual trip and performance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival - an amazing week of theatre involving the opportunity to work as cast or crew in a professional space, while advertising our work to the paying public. It's an opportunity that should not be missed!

The society also frequently receives casting calls and other opportunities through our email - opportunities that we pass on to you, through our social page on Facebook. You can join here.

If you have any questions please send us a message, either by e-mail or over Facebook.

We hope to see you soon!
