The History Society welcomes all those who have an interest in history, not just those who are studying! Yes that includes you.
Our priviliged members can expect to enjoy dynamic and stimulating activites throughout 2014/15, so get your membership now to enjoy all the benefits of this great society!
The society encourages members to meet regularly, and every month there is an interesting lecture hosted by the UWE Regional History Centre at Mshed (lecture upstairs commences by 6pm - lasts around 1 1/2 hrs).
Find full details on topics of talks here: http://humanities.uwe.ac.uk/regionhistory/rhcnew/conferenceseminar.htm
We have a number of fun and interesting activities for people to get involved with, this involves a number of socials. A great place to meet new people on your course or those who just share an interest in history , whether it be in Bristol's nightlife or through fun, inquisitive cultural activities.
Although we are a course based society - not everything is based on history and we encourage students from other courses to join up to get involved in the many activities we have planned, including a number of post-deadline socials!
The highlight of our 2014/15 calendar is our spectacular end of year trip which will take a number of our members to the cultural capital of Poland, Krakow! Steeped in history, but also a place of beauty and a great night out! Places are limited so watch out for the deposit link to go up on SU website.
