The UWE Macmillan Cancer Support Society is a society of students who get together to organise events and activities which raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Anyone can join for free - it's a great way to do good whilst gaining new skills and meeting new people, whilst volunteering for a national charity.
We have had great success putting on a range of fundraising events and also joining in with Macmillan organized activities in the local community. As a society we have raised awareness for our cause in the past by organising several events; including a Tesco Bucket Collection, selling Macmillan merchandise at the UWE farmer's market, providing volunteers for the Macmillan Tree of Hope event, contributing to carol services and in store activities with the Boots store.
Over the Past year, we've managed to raise over £600 for Macmillan Cancer Support, through activities including bag packing at M&S and the holding a stall at the UWE farmers market.
We have some great, new and exciting fundraising ideas for this next year, but to make these possible we need your help! We are looking for people to get involved in the society and help with planning and holding these big fundraising activities for the next year!
