WHAT IS RADIOTHERAPY?

Radiotherapy is the use of high energy x-rays to an accurately localised target volume in order to produce tumour control with minimal side effects on normal surrounding tissue.

WHAT IS THIS SOCIETY ALL ABOUT?

This society is all about cancer and radiotherapy. We gather all student radiotherapists (current and alumni) via our different membership schemes. As a member, you'll get to meet other students across all years, either studying radiotherapy or graduated as well as non-radiotherapists. This society is a great way of getting connected with other radiotherapist students for a better understanding of the course as well as opening up a great avenue to socialise.

As a 2017 UWERADONCSOC Society Member you shall benefit from:

  • A Goody-Bag
  • 10% Hoody Discount
  • Discounts on events including nights out, meals, group actitvities, study days
  • Subscription to our fortnightly newsletter

This year we are are planning Fundraising Activities for a different Cancer Charity each month. Last year we successfully raised £252 at the Macmillan Coffee Morning and aspire to fundraise even more this year.

This year, membership entitles all too a goody-bag including some placement essentials.
