New Logo with effect from March-2022
The new logo depicts the bravery of all Sri Lankans.


LOGO:
Our logo recalls the Sri Lankan flag.
- The Lion symbolizes the bravery of the Sinhalese.
- The four bo leaves in the corners represent the four concepts of Buddhism (Karuna, Mudita, Upeksha, and Metta).
- The two stripes represent the Sri Lankan Tamils and Muslims respectively.
- The border of the flag represents the unity of the nation.

Meet & Greet 2022
UWE Sri Lankan society's meet and greet was held on 04th February 2022. The 74th National Independence Day was was also celebrated at the event.
The ceremony began with the singing of the national anthem and the commemoration of our military heroes.
Thereafter the event was filled with fun games, sing alongs, chit chats and Sri Lankan goodies.

Annual General Meeting 2022
The Annual General meeting was held on 03rd January, 2022 via Teams. The society's 2021/2022 committee was official introduced at the meeting. The new president then presented the plan for the next academic year.
