Welcome to UWEMUN.

My team and I formed this society to run a Model United Nations conference in April 2020 and annually thereafter. For those of you who don’t know, MUN is a simulation of true United Nations conferences. Students from UWE, other universities and international students will be joining together at X-block, Frenchay campus, to debate notorious global issues.

Students (delegates) will be assigned a nation to represent. You will also be assigned a committee, either: Security Council; Human Rights Council; International Criminal Court; International Court of Justice. Each committee will be discussing different topics. Day one will see delegates lobbying and merging to prepare for the following days debates and our grand opening ceremony. Days two and three will see delegates debating their cause.

Your £15 ticket is inclusive of everything except for your travel! We will provide you lunch, stationery, coffee breaks and more! If you have previous MUN experience, we would love to have you as a chair. If this is your first time or you have very limited experience, you would be best suited as a delegate.

We have picked our debating topics to appeal to students from all academic backgrounds; Law, History, Politics, Business, or any students who want to enhance their CV and university experiences.

Don’t wait, tickets are moving quickly!

See you at the conference.

Daniel Eid,

UWEMUN President.
