Police

We are the UWE Police Society!

The police service is a diverse multidisciplinary organisation and we actively encourage anyone to join our one-of-a-kind society! Whether you have a desire to join the police force after graduation or just have an interest in how policing operates, this is the society for you.

What do we do?

Throughout the year, we are hosting numerous trips, events and socials. Guest speakers, demonstrations from a dog handler, and excursions to A&S Headquaters in Portishead are just a examples of our forthcoming itinerary. We aim to ensure that these events will give our members an exciting opportunity to gather experience and knowledge of the world of policing. Working closely alongside campus officer PC Mark Brain (2952), and Avon & Somerset Constabulary, we hope to build relationships with the force and advise how our members can complement their degree by pursuing a career in the Regular or Special Constabulary.
