Welcome to the UWE Mental Health Nursing Society!
As a new society formed in September 2016 we are dedicated to expanding awareness of - and participation in – matters relating to mental health, wellbeing, and Mental Health Nursing as a discipline. We aim to enhance the learning of our members in an enjoyable, accessible way, by arranging guest speakers, holding academic workshops, and chairing debates on issues related to our field. We hope to support our members to take pride in their profession, to stay up to date with cutting-edge research, and to develop strong social support links throughout their program of study.
We'd love to create more of a 'community feel' in the cohort so sign up and get involved!
June - Come along to the UWE's open day on Saturday the 9th of June and look out for our stall. We are fundraising by selling homemade cakes, cookies, flapjacks and more! Not only will you be filling your bellies with cakey goodness, the money you give to us to pay for your baked goodies will be going to the Alzheimers society.
As a member, you will benefit from discounted (and sometimes free!) entry to our events. Membership can be purchased here by following the link on the right side of the page. Student membership is £5 and staff or alumni membership is £10.
