Mental Health Nursing Society

TO THE MENTAL HEALTH NURSING SOCIETY

As a new society formed in September 2016 we are dedicated to expanding awareness of - and participation in – matters relating to mental health, wellbeing, and Mental Health Nursing as a discipline. We aim to enhance the learning of our members in an enjoyable, accessible way, by arranging guest speakers, holding academic workshops, and chairing debates on issues related to our field. We hope to support our members to take pride in their profession, to stay up to date with cutting-edge research, and to develop strong social support links throughout their program of study.

We'd love to create more of a 'community feel' in the cohort so sign up and get involved!

The Psychedelic Renaissance

by L Milner

DATE AND TIME

Convincing an anti-drug society to accept a seemingly radical new viewpoint - one with evidence, ethics and scientific rigour.

Professor David Nutt and Dr Ben Sessa will be here at UWE to discuss and share their insights on the potential therapeutic value of psychedelic drugs in the context of mental health.

This is an opportunity to hear about current and significant research from two key figures in the field - whether you feel strongly either way about it, or are completely undecided altogether, it''ll be a thought-provoking evening for all.

[Talk will start promptly at 19:00 so please allow time to get in and seated. Thank you.]

To view the event, please copy and paste the following link to your browser.
