Welcome to the UWE Bandits, Baseball & Softball Club. We are a friendly bunch of easy-going people who enjoy playing ball and having fun whilst doing so. The club invites anyone who is interested to come and have a go, regardless of age, gender or ability. Most members have never played Baseball or Softball before, so all levels of experience are welcome in the team. If you haven’t played before, don’t worry - there are always friendly faces around who are willing to help you in any way possible to ensure you have an enjoyable time.

 

We have 2 membership options Recreational & Competitive:

Recreational - Training Sessions & Socials

Competitive - Competing in University Leagues, playing against other teams, Training Sessions & Socials

 

Being a member of the club will give you the opportunity to be involved with: 

  • Social nights out (a variety of drinking and non-drinking socials throughout the year, such as fancy-dress bar crawls, BBQs, etc.) 
  • Weekly Socials - Most probably V-Shed but we shall see where the night takes us.
  • Sports-themed events (Team Beer pong, etc.)
  • Weekly training sessions (Sunday & Monday 6pm-8pm)
  • Friendly training matches, 
  • Tournaments against other University teams, 
  • Opportunity to play in the BUBL / BUSL (British University Baseball / Softball League) competing against Universities from all over the country.

As well as being a part of a great team environment where you can socialise, meet new people and experience new opportunities

Give It A Go sessions – We will be hosting taster sessions during Freshers Week where you can experience the game to see if this is the club for you.

**UPCOMING EVENTS**

Freshers Fair- We have a booth at the freshers fair. This is a great opportunity to get involved and ask any questions you may have about the club. The layout will be little stalls manned by our President Drew and Vice-President Kai who will be more than happy to talk about what it's like being a part of the club and why you should join.
