We are an extremely inclusive club, with activities and events on regardless of the bike/discipline you ride. The current commitee range from experienced racers to social riders, and we can cater for everyone.
Included in your membership are subsidised trips, access to coaching tips from an ex pro, training sessions, and to top it off you will also get a cycling club T-shirt, so you can represent us even when you're not in the saddle!
Cycling is great for your overall health and fitness, you get to see some fantastic sights, and you can get outdoors and be proud of the distances you cover by the power of your own legs. So join and come ride with us!
We have a club ride on Wednesday afternoons, as well as various rides running on Saturdays. These are of varying pace, and groups will be split so that riders of similar ability ride together. No one will get left behind! Saturday rides give the option of longer routes, as daylight is not an issue.
In 2017 we send riders to BUCS Downhill, Road Race and Time trials, and in previous years have competed at the BUCS Hill Climb. BUCS Cycling events start in November, and we look to send riders to these events too.
MTB trips are run to the Forest of Dean, as well as Bike park Wales and other areas. Ashton Court and Leigh woods in Bristol provide other local areas to ride.
We are organising ladies only rides, casual (lycra-free) rides, and short taster rides to introduce people to the sport.
We have plans to organise internal club competitions, such as hill-climbs and strava segment racing as well as the social club rides.
Our rides are organised on our facebook group, so join the group and come on a ride!
Most of our rides have café stops in, so you can refuel with coffee and cake.
