Welcome to the UWE Cycling Club...

We are an extremely inclusive club, with regular activities regardless of your bike discipline or ability. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned pro, we cater for everyone! 

Why should you join?

Cycling is a low impact sport, great for overall health and fitness. As well as being amazing fun, it is also very social and a great club to meet other people with a love for riding and the outdoors. 

On our rides, you'll see some amazing sites and will be super proud of the distances powered by your own legs. Come ride with us!


We have bi-weekly club rides on Wednesday afternoons and on Saturday mornings. These vary in length and the pace is determined by the group on the day, often having different groups for different abilities.No one will be left behind!

Most of our rides have café stops in, so you can refuel with coffee and cake.

In addition to the rides, we have a new spin class on Thursday evenings for members of the club. 

We organise events such as track days, mountain bike rides, trips to races and a yearly training camp. In 2017/18 we had riders competing in BUCS events, road races, time trials and hill climbs, as well as the local Varsity events. We also have a club coach, who can support riders in regards to training and how to improve.

Fresh for 2018, we have brand new UWE Cycling jerseys. These can be purchased through O’Neills and the Students’ Union
