GETTING COMPETITIVE: RACING AND FREESTYLE
For those of you who want to get a bit more out of skiing and boarding we have a squad of competitors who train hard and compete at events locally, nationally and abroad.
If you are a confident skier or snowboarder we would love for you to get involved and take things to the next level. Fancy giving snowsports comps a try? Contact us now to let us know you are interested.
KINGS is a five round (across the academic year) competitive race against other Uni teams across the South-West. If we are successful in our region we will make it to the national final against all other regions.
This race is in the format of a dual slalom, and teams can be mixed, ladies or boarders.
Each event also features a fancy-dress theme which is always a good laugh.
Competing in KINGS is a great opportunity if you're an experienced racer or completely new to it! By attending a few of the Gloucester dry slope training sessions you'll get to grips with the format of the race and skiing/boarding on a dry slope.
