Important information about external sponsorship or donations made to your club or society.
As a sports club or a society, you can accept donations and organise sponsorship deals. It is important you know the difference between a donation and sponsorship, and ensure the business/individual you are working with understands what is expected.
Clubs and societies may receive money, goods, or services as part of a sponsorship deal. The company/business providing the sponsorship may want publicity or advertising in return. For all sponsorships you are required to complete a contract, called a sponsorship form, that must outline all the information both the sponsor and the club or society agreed on. The Students’ Union at UWE has a template sponsorship form that you must use for all sponsorship agreements. Once your sponsor signs the contract send it to your coordinator and wait to get approval from the Students’ Union. Please do not sign any agreements without prior approval from your coordinator.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU ARE NOT AUTHORISED TO VERBALLY AGREE, OR SIGN OFF ANY CONTRACT AGREEMENTS. PLEASE ENSURE THIS IS DONE BY YOUR RELEVANT COORDINATOR.
If your club or society is receiving a donation, please get in touch with your relevant coordinator. They will provide you with the Students' Union bank account details and your society/club code to use as a reference. Always reach out to the Opportunities Team before any donations are made, so the SU finance team is informed. You can download a blank donations form here!
