The Sports Executive is a volunteer group that works closely with the VP Sports! Find out more about the Sports Executive and how you can get involved!
What is the Sports Executive Committee?
The Sports Executive Committee was launched during 2025/26 and after a first successful year, it remains for 2026/27. It is a group of student volunteers who work alongside The Students’ Union Vice President Sports and Health. Together, they help shape the direction of student sport at UWE, ensuring every athlete has a voice in decisions that affect them.
Each Executive Committee member has their own remit, from chairing monthly executive meetings to event support for hundreds of students (like Varsity), to increasing participation across all types of sport and activity initiatives.
This is a voluntary student leadership position. It is not a paid or contracted role, but it offers valuable experience, training, and recognition that will support your personal and professional development. You will have the opportunity to make a real change at UWE, positively shaping the student experience by representing your peers and influencing decisions that matter to them.
