Only VAT receipts will be accepted as proof of purchase and two other committee members, including the Treasurer, must be copied into the email to the SU opportunities team. If the email containing the payment voucher does not have two committee members copied, it will not be authorised.
Please see the payment voucher page for further information.
Please be aware that to reclaim fuel expenses, your vehicle must be registered with the Students' Union at UWE prior to submitting your claim.
Yes, partners and children can attend trips, provided the necessary Participation Form is completed. This ensures the trip is officially authorised by The Students' Union at UWE and that the activity complies with The Students' Union's duty of care standards. Additionally, third-party liability insurance coverage will be provided for the individuals.
Please see the Under-18s page for further information.
Students who wish to become first aid trained can enroll in the first aid courses offered by The Students' Union at UWE. These courses provide a nationally-recognised Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
A minimum of two first aid trained individuals are required for any trip. First aid is important because it ensures that immediate medical assistance can be provided in case of an accident or emergency. Having first aid trained individuals can help stabilise injuries, prevent further harm, and potentially save lives before the emergency services arrive.
For more information, please see the First Aid page.
To get certified, you need to complete the Driver Training offered by The Students’ Union at UWE. This includes a theory and practical session. For more information and how to book your training, please see the Driver Training page.
