Welcome to the UWE Futsal Club! Now in our third season, we're a fast-growing, dynamic sports club built on a simple principle: merit. We believe in creating clear pathways for every player to develop, compete, and rise through the ranks based on their performance. Whether you're an experienced player or new to the sport, we have a place for you.
Our main club membership is for players ready to commit to a full fixture list and be part of our competitive team structure. This is your chance to represent UWE and prove yourself in our Bristol league. All members must pay the additional £23 insurance fee.
Placement in our 1st or 2nd Teams: You'll be placed in a team that matches your current skill level, with a structured training and match schedule:
1st Team: Train Thursdays (16:30-18:30), opportunities to play or coach in a derby league with UOB and represent UWE in BUCS fixtures on Sundays.
2nd Teams: Compete in a Friday League, with additional matches on some Sundays (3pm-5pm) and there will be additional opportunities to train with the BUCS team with the possibility of progressing into the BUCS team.
Development Team: The Derby League -All social members (£50 membership) will be added to a team who compete in a derby league on Saturdays and Sundays with UOB. There will also be opportunities to train on Friday (4-5) a few times a month.
A Clear Merit-Based Pathway: This is the core of our club. Playing well in the Derby league and for your team is your direct route to the top. The best 5-10 players will be invited to join our 2nd team squad (for a £40 add-on), and standout performers can drastically move up the ranks.
