UWE American Football 

The UWE Bullets are the most successful sports team at UWE, with an incredible run of achievements including:

• National Champions: 2007, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025
• College Bowl XXI Champions
•  Numerous Divisional Titles
• An undefeated Varsity streak, unmatched by any other UWE sports club

Led by Head Coach Daniel Maher, the Bullets First Team is once again aiming to defend their national crown and secure a fifth consecutive championship. Meanwhile, under Head Coach Sam Astley, the Second Team is developing the next generation of talent, pushing for a divisional title of their own.
The addition of new specialist coaches, including positional coaches Pete Jones, Rián Hudson, and former UWE QB and ELF MVP Jadrian Clark ensures that both teams continue to benefit from elite-level guidance and development.

Two Teams, One Family

The Bullets are proud to run two competitive teams. This structure allows us to welcome as many players as possible, from complete beginners to experienced athletes. Many of our second team players had never played American Football before joining, but through expert coaching and dedication, many progress into the First Team and the National League.

Training

The sessions are open to anyone wanting to join the team. You must purchase the UWE Sports Pass (insurance in case of injury) and the club membership. Training takes place at Hillside Gardens Sports Ground just a short walk from Frenchy Campus.

Training times are as follows:

- First Team Tuesday's: 6pm - 8m

- First Team Thursday's: 6pm - 8pm

- Second Team Thursday's: 8-10pm
