UWE Handball has quickly grown into one of the most exciting and fastest-growing sports communities at UWE, with over 30 dedicated members and players of all abilities — from complete beginners to experienced athletes.
After an incredible 2025/26 season, our competitive team won the BUCS regional league and finished 4th nationally, establishing UWE Handball as a growing force in university handball.
This year, we’re offering both competitive BUCS teams and social teams, meaning there’s a place for everyone. Our competitive sessions focus on developing skills, fitness, teamwork and match performance, with opportunities to compete in BUCS leagues and tournaments throughout the year. Our social sessions are more relaxed and welcoming, giving you the chance to learn the sport, stay active, meet new people and have fun.
Never played handball before? No problem. 🤾Whether you’re an experienced player, a complete beginner or simply looking to try something new, come and get involved.
