Welcome to the UWE Hiking Club! Whether you’re an experienced hiker or have never been on a hike before, everyone is welcome. Come along to explore new places, meet new people and enjoy the outdoors.
Whether you have been hiking for years or have never been on a proper hike before, everyone is welcome at UWE Hiking Club.
We are a friendly club (formed in 2017) for students who want to explore the outdoors, meet new people, and enjoy some great walks around Bristol, Wales and further afield.
You do not need to be an experienced hiker to get involved. Our events include opportunities for beginners, regular members and anyone who simply wants to spend some time outdoors with other people.
Throughout the year, we organise:
We aim to make hiking accessible, social and enjoyable while respecting the natural environment.
The Hiking Club is a great way to make friends of similar interests through hiking, rambling, mountaineering, and of course plenty of socials. There is a lot to learn from the Hiking Club, such as fire building, orienteering, camping, and many more! We have fun, enjoy the outdoors and respect the environment. Get to know the beauty spots of the Bristol area and increase your health and wellbeing with the Hiking Club!
These are prospective trips; dates and locations are yet to be confirmed. Any suggestions would be welcome!
This schedule is unconfirmed and may be subject to change.
