At UWE Lacrosse, we're more than a team. We see ourselves as one big family, coming together to play a unique sport, enjoy socialising, and make friends for life!
Lacrosse is the fastest-growing sport at university level in the UK, and the standard keeps rising each year.
We have 1 men's team and 2 women's teams, all playing competitively in BUCS throughout the year!
Both experienced players and beginners are encouraged to join, so come and try it!
We also have a very social aspect to our club with mixed weekly socials and different themes and events organised by our social secs!

Men's Lacrosse has the best qualities of every sport! It combines the physicality of American football and rugby, with the speed and agility of football and basketball.
In the 2025/26 season, our men's team were undefeated in their league and was promoted to League 1! This team also made the semi-finals of the Conference Cup. Doing so with a team of multiple fresh faces and beginners! This season will provide a fun challenge for new and old players, so come along and give lacrosse a go.
All kit will be provided by the club (helmets, sticks, pads and gloves), so there is no need to go out and buy anything if you don't want to. All you have to do is come along to our taster sessions to meet the team and play lacrosse!
Men's 1st Team
The Women's game is a fast-paced team sport, and unlike the men’s version, it’s non-contact (with a bit more technicality)! We currently have two teams, both in league 2.
Our 1s team has a more competitive focus, reaching the finals of our league's conference cup and just missing out on promotion this year as runners-up in league 2, but we hope to train up some new legs to help us reach league 1 for 26/27.
Our 2s team gives beginners a great opportunity to learn the rules of lacrosse and develop their skills. They have consistently performed outstandingly, given the teams they were challenged against.
We can provide sticks, so don't worry if you don't have one yet; all we need is for you to come meet us and enjoy playing lacrosse!

As a club we are lucky enough to take part in Varsity, where we travel to Newport and face off against USW with all other UWE sports societies. Both our Men's and Women's teams won their games this year. We also organise Derby Day, where our current teams can face off against returning Alumni!
