UWE Snowsports is one of the biggest and most social clubs at UWE, bringing together skiers, snowboarders, and complete beginners alike.

We’re all about creating an inclusive, high-energy community where you can learn something new, push your skills, and meet people you’ll end up living, travelling, and partying with. Whether you’re here to improve, compete, or just get involved in the socials, there’s a place for you.

Throughout the year, we run a mix of training sessions, trips, competitions, and socials — giving you the chance to progress on the slopes and make the most of student life at the same time.

What we offer:

Training - Regular sessions at Gloucester Dry Slope (AKA Mount G!) with race courses, freestyle features (kickers, rails, boxes), and a pro airbag — plus a bar for post-session socials.
Real Snow Sessions - Trips to indoor snow centres like Milton Keynes and Hemel Hempstead to get you riding on real snow.
Competitions - Opportunities to compete in KINGs dry slope races, freestyle events, and BUCS competitions — all levels welcome, with support to help you progress.
Winter Ski Trip - This is the most outrageous and, by far, the best trip on the UWE calendar. A week in the Alps with your mates and hundreds of other students, with amazing skiing, boarding, après and nights out. What more could you want?
Summer Sailing Trip - When the snow melts, we swap mountains for the sea — think island hopping, boat parties, and unreal sunsets with your mates.
Socials & Events - Weekly nights out, themed events, and a packed social calendar — on and off the slopes.
