SOCIAL TENNIS
Social Tennis is the heart of our club and is open to everyone, regardless of experience.
We run sessions twice a week:
Thursday evenings 17:15-20:15
Sunday afternoons 13:15-16:15
Sessions are divided houly into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced groups so everyone can play with others at a similar level.
Beginner
Perfect if you’re new to tennis or haven’t played for a while. These sessions include coaching, skill development and plenty of encouragement.
Intermediate
Designed for players looking to improve through rallies, drills and match play in a relaxed environment.
Advanced
A more competitive session focused on singles and doubles matches while still maintaining a fun atmosphere.
Committee members are always present to welcome new members and help everyone settle in, so there’s no need to feel nervous if it’s your first session.
Throughout the year we’ll also run:
Friendly tournaments
Tennis-themed socials
special events
These are great opportunities to play more tennis, challenge yourself and get to know other members.

SOCIAL NIGHTS
Being part of UWE Tennis is about much more than what happens on court.
Our weekly socials take place every Wednesday and are one of the best ways to meet people across the club. Akaash and Alex will post each week's theme, including details such as the location, times, dress code, etc onto our WhatsApp chat.
We usually finish the night at Pam Pam’s, UWE’s famous Wednesday sports night, alongside hundreds of students from other clubs.
This year we are also aiming to collaborate with other sports societies to create a stronger sporting community within UWE.
Whether you’re a social member or a BUCS player, everyone is welcome.
