In my current role as the Student Union President, I take immense pride in representing the diverse interests of over 30,000 students. Throughout my tenure, I've consistently been a fervent advocate for every student, utilizing my position to lobby for support and address the concerns raised at both the Academic Board and the Board of Governance. My commitment to representation extends beyond rhetoric, actively leading and co-leading initiatives such as Black History Month, Diversity Day, and LGBTQ+ advocacy. These events have not only championed inclusivity but have also amplified student voices, fostering a deep sense of belonging and understanding within our student community.
An integral aspect of my leadership has been the organization of informative live campaigns. These endeavors have provided students with a clear understanding of the extensive support systems available to them. Notably, the employability initiative themed "Transitioning to Workforce" stands out, aimed at assisting students in navigating the challenges during and after their studies.

The rising cost of living, coupled with the current financial challenges universities face, presents a paramount concern. I will lobby rigorously to safeguard the support systems and address the plights of students. It is my unwavering commitment to ensuring that the financial constraints faced by universities do not compromise the well-being and support mechanisms crucial for students' success.
Diversity Day and Inclusion
Furthermore, I am dedicated to fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging on our campus. By expanding Diversity Day to include staff-student interactions, we can celebrate our unique cultures and foster greater understanding and appreciation within our community.
