Candidate for the position of Sustainability Officer
Want a change? It's now or never.
I am currently a first year undergraduate Environmental Sciences student – who is passionate about the future UWE environment and the road that the Student’s Union can play in its development.
I am currently a Project Leader within both the Students Union and UWE as a result of my work in the Community Garden and Greenspace initiatives, and have strong links with the local community as a result.
As a Bristol 2015 Green Change Maker, I am keen to see the development of Bristol as a whole, and would like for UWE to be at the forefront of this. After the 2015 European Green Capital year, many have asked “Is there a legacy left behind?”
I am here to say that this is a decision which is simply up to you and the Student’s Union as a whole. Legacies are founded upon principles – principles which I intend to bring to the Sustainability Officer role.
I am here to do the following:
These goals will be accomplished through my current contacts within areas of the university, as well as a plan of action for each individual goal itself.
The environment is simply too important to ignore currently, and this is your opportunity to decide what you want to occur.
In short – this is your decision and your decision alone – make the choice.
