Candidate for the position of Vice President Societies and Communication
IT IS TIME TO POOLE OUR SKILLS, AND JUMP IN.
This year societies have thrived and developed new and greater senses of identities. This legacy is one I aim to continue.
My experience in the field of management will bring new skillsets to a job that requires a dedicated and innovative leader. I have worked for the past few years as a funding advisor across England & Wales for the largest giver of good will money in the country (The Big Lottery Fund). My experience in dealing with large cumbersome organisations as well as Government and charities will play a pivotal role in opening new lines of communication and funding for student societies. As the president of a society this year I have gained a true understanding of the work that needs to be done and I recognise the difficulties in doing this. My pledges are as follows however by no means are they final, as I said the world is changing and it is the societies and networks that will shape our fundamental workings and ideas.
